The Tamiya Clod Buster (2026) celebrates one of the most recognizable monster trucks in RC history. Its injection-molded red body captures the character of the original while adding a revised front grille, updated graphics, and front sections designed to accommodate optional LED lights. Metal-plated grille and supercharger details complete the bold, full-size monster truck appearance.
Underneath the classic body is the proven Clod Buster platform, featuring permanent four-wheel drive powered by two Type 540 brushed motors. One motor drives each axle through a dedicated gearbox, delivering the traction and torque needed to power the truck’s massive 165mm-diameter tires across dirt, grass, gravel, and other rough surfaces.
Four-wheel steering turns the front and rear wheels in opposite directions, giving this large monster truck impressive maneuverability and a tighter turning radius. An included twin-motor electronic speed control simplifies completion, while the assembly-kit format provides the satisfaction of building, detailing, and finishing an RC icon yourself.
